Welcome to my cyber- stash of knitting ideas, half done projects, lovely yarns and weird ways of knitting.
A short knitting presentation might be required - I learned to knit before I started school - 5 years (?) old, and knitted sweaters for my teddy bears and danish rubber trolls. My first knitted item for my self was fininshed in 6th grade I think....a purple sweater west. I knitted a lot during my teens, but not during my year in USA, so I stick with my Scandinavian style of knitting. Togehter with my mom I also did a lot of dyeing with plants in the 80's and early 90'.
During almost 10 years a malfunctioning shoulder made it impossible to kit, but now I'm back on the track again. Yeah!! But I'm still really lousy in finishing projects, love to start them...
I really like felting things, mostly computer cases and I usually use a patterns I have in my head, often inspired by something I read or seen. Most of my felting I do in the dry tumbler, I found out that it becomes more the way I want it then.
My latest field of knitting is to use steel wire - different and needle consuming :).
This is the start for a small candle crown made using 0.3 mm stainless steel wire (skylttråd) and 3.5 mm needles. The knitting is garter stich with beads ( approx. 3 mm big). The beads are threaded on the wire prior to the knitting starts. A knit cast on works best - I think- when you work with steel wire.
I now work on a scarf for my Mum (her birtday is less than a week away) made from small skeins of wool (approx 8 m in each) I got from a friend of my mother. The yarn is originally meant to be used for embroidery, but I use it for a seafoam pattern. Fun! And amazing to see the result.

Then I just have to weave some of ends in (most of the I have weaved in while knitting) and block it....
