Taa-daa! This is how my steel wire candlecrown for my friend Jacob turned out. (The picture is a bit skewed...) I knitted a band in garter stich (see the last blogentry) and then combined it into a ring. The ring was decorated with beads, while knitting and reinforced with 0.9 mm steel wire in top and bottom. Four cake candles were attached with the thicker wire and straps were made of the thin 0.3 mm wireusing a crochet hook. The diameter is approx. 12 cm (5') so next time I will try to make a larger one...
